This week Williston Central School is putting on the play Annie. It is about an orphan girl who was left at the doorstep of an orphanage. Her parents left a note and half a silver locket around her neck saying that they would come back for her. Well 11 years later poor Annie is still stuck in the orphanage, and she is tired of waiting. She figures that if her parents aren't coming for her she will just have to find them. Well after many failed attempts a women comes to the orphanage saying she is a private secretary to Oliver Warbucks, a famous billionaire. Over time Annie and Warbucks bond and Warbucks helps Annie find her parents. But a jealous Hannigan, the evil orphanage instructor, and her brother, Rooster, along with his partner in crime Lily get a nasty idea that may stop Annie from knowing the truth about her real parents. Annie is based off the popular Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie. Many famous musicals are based off of books including Oliver, Chicago, Alic
